Charlie Aitken leaves Aitken Investment Management after splitting from wife Ellie

One of Sydney’s most prominent investment bankers has revealed he is leaving his firm following a scandalous love triangle involving his business partner’s wife.

Charlie Aitken will resign from Aitken Investment Management (AIM), the company he founded, and sell his family’s stake in the company.

It is understood that he will always play an advisory role to the management team.

The company will also be renamed Constantina Investment Partners.

His departure comes after his dramatic split with wife Ellie last year when he left her for best friend Hollie Nasser.

Hollie was married to investor Chris Nasser, who was in business with Charlie at the time.

The Aitkens and Nasser were previously very friendly, with photos on social media of the four pictured smiling together.

The partner swap saw Ellie take a step back from her socialite status, she also stepped down from her senior position at Aitken Investment Management.

The fallout from the scandal also saw Chris resign as director of the board.

However, seven months later, their relationship appears to be mending with Ellie and Charlie spotted overseas together in Italy, sparking reconciliation rumours.

The couple were seen vacationing with their children on a yacht in Capri, after it was revealed in May that Charlie and Hollie had called it quits.

It is not known if the couple is now back together.
