Elan Financial Services donates to 2 local charities on behalf of Tennessee Federal Valley Credit Union

The Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union announced that it had been selected as one of 50 Elan credit card partners to participate in Elan’s Across the Country Charitable Giving program.

“As one of 50 selected partners, we were able to choose two local charities to receive a generous donation of $6,250 on our behalf,” officials said.

“We at TVFCU are thrilled to share that we have selected Partnership for Families, Children and Adults (Partnership) and YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga YCAP,” said Todd Fortner, President and CEO of TVFCU. “The partnership and YCAP both play a vital role in the Greater Chattanooga community and we are grateful to Elan for helping us support their efforts to help strengthen our community.”

“The Partnership strives to improve the lives of its neighbors through a continuum of emergency,
stability and self-sufficiency services so that we have a strong, safe and informed community,” officials said.

“This generous donation of $6,250 from the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union will fuel the partnership
mission to empower people and build communities,” said Pam Ladd, CEO,
Partnership. “Thanks to community donations, we helped over 7,000 of our neighbors improve their lives last year, and it will help us do even more in the future.”

YMCA YCAP is an early intervention and prevention program for young people aged 10 to 15 who have been
have been referred to us either by the juvenile justice system or by the school system. Each student and family has a personalized treatment plan that meets their educational, behavioral, and spiritual needs, including mentoring, tutoring, hot meals, family home evenings, and group therapy.

“The YMCA YCAP of Chattanooga, TN would like to thank Elan on behalf of the Tennessee Valley
Federal Credit Union for investing in YCAP work,” said Andy Smith, Regional Executive Director, YMCA YCAP. “Through this donation, YMCA YCAP staff will be able to continue transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children in our community. The YCAP program prides itself on turning tragedies into triumphs, one child, one family and one community at a time. Thank you, Elan and TVFCU for investing in our work.

Elan Senior Vice President and General Manager John Owens added, “We are so proud of our
partnership with TVFCU and we are grateful to both the partnership and YMCA YCAP for their dedication to the community. We hope that this donation can be used to have an even more significant impact.
