Natixis expands its APAC investment banking unit


Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking expands in Asia-Pacific with the hiring of an Aviation Finance and Healthcare Industry Group Manager for the region.

Charles Zhu joins Natixis CIB as head of aircraft financing for Asia-Pacific, according to a statement, effective March 1.

Based in Singapore, Zhou reports to the Global Head of Aviation Finance Jean Chedeville and APAC Head of Real Assets and Global Trade Emmanuel Gillet-Lagarde.

Zhou has 15 years of banking and aviation industry experience in China, Singapore, Ireland and Hong. He was most recently Executive Director of Aviation Finance for Greater China and North Asia at Standard Chartered, where he was also President and CEO of its China aircraft operating leasing platform, Pembroke. Aircraft Leasing (Tianjin) Co Ltd.

Health Industry Group

Nicholas Low will also join the French investment bank as head of the healthcare APAC group, effective March 14.

Low will also be based in Singapore and will report to the Chief Bertrand GuiotHead of Real Assets and Investment Banking for Southeast Asia and Head of Infrastructure Funds Coverage for APAC as well as Francois Ansvanandaresponsible for Southeast Asia coverage.

Low has over 13 years of experience, starting with the business development team at pharmaceutical company Ipsen in London before moving into the financial sector and working for companies such as Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Nomura. He was most recently a healthcare private equity investment professional with Singapore-based Quadria Capital.
