CBRE Investment ManagementZeke Patterson has been appointed portfolio manager for the company’s enhanced yield US closed-end series. In his role with the CBRE US Strategic Partners series of value-added funds, Patterson will help drive investment performance with responsibilities in portfolio management, capital deployment and strategic fund construction. Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in the newly created role, Patterson served as Vice President at L&B Real Estate Advisors where he managed a separate account for a foreign private equity client. Previously, he served as Associate Vice President at Colliers International, specializing in industrial, office and medical real estate. Pamela Boneham, Lynn King Tolliver and Vance Maddock were appointed as independent members of the company’s Americas Direct Real Estate Investment Committee. Boneham has over 35 years of institutional investment experience in the United States. In addition to her role at CBRE Investment Management, she is a strategic advisor to Ventas Investment Management and a member of the investment committee of City of Hope. Recently retired as Managing Director and Head of Capital Strategies at Barings, Boneham also served as Central Region Head for the company’s property equities and was a member of its Investment and Equity Valuation Committees. Tritax Group – The logistics real estate investment manager has appointed Alan Somerville as director of the ESG. BentallGreenOak The global real estate investment firm has opened a new office in Austin, Texas, and named Mike Leifeste as General Manager and Head of Texas Coverage. Leifeste’s responsibilities in this newly created role will include focusing on deepening the firm’s investor relations activities in the region and serving as a critical point of contact on current and future acquisitions in Texas while developing new new relationships with operating and development partners. Leifeste joined from Texas Treasury Custodial Trust Companywhere he has held various positions over the past 24 years, including as Head of Real Estate and Real Estate Assets for the past seven years.

The City of London Corporation – The governing body of the Square Mile in London has launched a task force to build skills to decarbonise commercial buildings in central London. The task force will last for three years and will be chaired by the Vice Chairman of the City Corporation’s Policy and Resources Committee, Chris Hayward. Capital of Europe – The pan-European real estate investment manager has appointed Rachel Hanke as Managing Director, Portfolio Manager. Hanke will be responsible for recommending and implementing investment and asset management strategies for Europa Capital’s series of value-added funds. Hanke has spent the past two years managing private residential investments, while advising real estate private equity funds on product development and strategic growth plans. Previously, she was Group Director of FREO, where she was responsible for group-wide portfolio management initiatives, strategic capital market expansion and product development for various strategies. Prior to joining FREO, Hanke was Chief Investment Officer at Revetas Capital and spent nearly eight years at AIG Global Real Estate.

KanAm GrundSimone Ausfelder was appointed media spokesperson. She succeeds Michael Birnbaumwho retired at the end of 2021. Ausfelder served as senior director of communications and public relations at DJE Capital since April 2016. She has over 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and public relations with a focus on finance, asset and wealth management and pensions.

HIH Invest Real Estate – The investment manager has appointed Felix Meyen as Managing Director for Replacement Operations Hans Joachim Lehmann, who resigned from his post. Meyen has worked at HIH Invest since 2005, first as an asset manager before spending several years in the transaction management unit in Germany and finally taking over as CEO in 2015. Lehmann worked for HIH Invest and its precursor companies for over 30 years in various roles. Lehmann will oversee the transition in senior management until the end of the year and will continue to make its experience and know-how available to the HIH Group in an advisory role even beyond this date.

Modular – The construction technology company has promoted Jason Bennett-Meere to the UK Managing Director. Bennett-Meere is a technology-focused finance professional who has served as Head of Finance at Nominet UK and Head of Divisional Finance at Microsoft.

MORhomes – Housing Corporation Financial Loan Vehicle appointed Anjila Thomas as a new non-executive director. Thomas is Senior Managing Director at ING Bank with over 28 years of banking experience. She is also a board member of ING’s London branch and leads ING UK’s corporate sector team, as well as the energy project advisory and transaction services business. Prior to joining ING, Anjila was at NatWest Bank where she was responsible for relationship management with retail, medium and large corporate clients and head office credit. His appointment will take effect on April 1, 2022 and will replace Rob Youngformer Group CEO of Helena Partnerships and Torus, who will retire in August after having been with the company since its inception in 2018.

Howard de Walden Estate – The London property investor has appointed senior executives David McArthur, investment manager Andrea Merringtondirector of planning and engagement, and Craig Clement, director of operations, to its executive committee. McArthur has been with the company for 18 months, as chief investment officer. Previously, he spent over 10 years working in the central London investment market. Merrington leads the urban planning and engagement team at Howard de Walden. She joined the company in 2009. Clements has been with the company for 24 years, serving in various roles in the accounting and finance function between 1998 and 2017. Over the past 5 years, Clements has led several initiatives to improve l use of data, processes and technology across the organization.
