Global investment banking firm Singhi Advisors on Wednesday announced key leadership appointments to its Delhi and Mumbai offices.

Ankur Gupta has been appointed associate partner to lead the Delhi office. Gupta brings to the table an extensive 15-year experience spanning mergers and acquisitions and prime contract advisory. After a stint at Singhi’s Merger Alliance partner Catalyst in the UK, Gupta moved to India and joined Singhi Advisors where he was instrumental in securing deals such as PI Polymer -Rhodia, Hydro S&S – Kingfa Science. & Tech, China, and Maharaja White line – Groupe SEB, France. Prior to his second stint with the Singhi team, he held senior management positions at Wodehouse Capital Advisors and Ecom Express.

Satyaroop Panigrahy has been appointed associate partner in the Mumbai office. In a career spanning over 12 years of leadership experience, Panigrahy has led and executed M&A, corporate finance and project finance transactions in cross-functional areas such as power, roads, oil and gas and NBFC. Prior to joining Singhi, Panigrahy worked as Deputy Director (M&A/Corporate Finance/Distressed Debt) at KPMG, India. He has also excelled in key management positions at Synergy Consulting Inc (M&A, Bid Advisory and Fund Raise) and NCC Infrastructure Holdings LTD (Corporate Strategy/M&A).

Bhaskar Borkar has joined the Singhi team as a strategic advisor. He began his career with the Mahindra Group, where he distinguished himself in key management positions in various functional areas, including corporate accounts, management information systems, exports, new projects, etc in India and Europe. In his last assignment with the Mahindra Group, he worked as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at Mahindra British Telecom Ltd (Tech Mahindra). He also excelled as CFO of renowned companies such as Nitco Ltd and JF Laboratories Ltd for 29 years. A chartered accountant and corporate secretary by training, Borkar is the founder and mentor of CFOCORP, a professional firm providing consulting services for performance improvement, fundraising through banks and capital markets, financial and operational restructuring, viability study, settlement with lenders and all other CFO Services. He is also a qualified resolution professional under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).

Himanshu Parmar has been appointed Director at Singhi Advisors Head Office in Mumbai. Prior to joining the Singhi team, Parmar had a mandate to manage independent start-up investments in the sector. He has worked extensively in management consulting in the United States helping businesses transform by leveraging emerging new era technologies like IoT, AI, Mobile, Big Data/Analytics and the Cloud. By providing key business insights and critical advice, Parmar has helped organizations steer sustained growth trajectories and facilitated their entry into new markets.
